In Remembrance of Zachary Mayhew

Dear Zach,

You were like a great son to me. You were a wonderful fiancé, friend, son, father and human being. You have so many friends that have reached out to Hayley, your fiancé and my daughter, that love you so much. Everyone that met you, loved you. Hayley, loves you so much and always will. You will be in her heart forever. Over the last few years, I really realized how caring, special and kind you were.

Zach was an avid fisher. He absolutely loved to fish. He also liked to hike and camp out with Hayley. They are and were very best friends. He loved to help people and make them smile. Zach loved to cooked and got that from his mom. He had so many wonderful recipes and the food was always excellent. 

Zach has a son. His name is Collin and he is 15. He loves ice hockey. Zach loved Collin so much and Collin loves his daddy. They both loved video games a lot. We will continue to be in his life and make sure he knows how much you loved him.

Zach had a bassett hound that he got when he was just a puppy. His name is Winston. He ‘talked’ to us all the time. He loved his dad and will miss him very much. We will continue to visit him and love on him.

As I write this, I feel so empty and wish I could tell you how much you are loved and give you a hug. I know you are with God and in the loving arms of your mother. We will all be with you in eternity one day, when our time comes, but until then rest in peace my sweet friend. I love you now, forever and always.
