Ryan graduated from Casa Grande High School in 2010. While in high school, he was a stand-out athlete in Football and Lacrosse playing on a two-time state champion lacrosse team. While in high school he served as a Volunteer Firefighter for the Wilmar Volunteer Fire Department. After graduating from Casa Grande, he became a Wildland Firefighter for the National Park Service while attending Santa Rosa Junior College. Just prior to graduating with an AA in Fire Technology in 2014, he started serving at the Bodega Bay Fire Protection District as a Firefighter, eventually attending and graduating from the Paramedic Academy at Santa Rosa Junior College in 2016. He went on to serve as a Firefighter Paramedic in Bodega Bay and then competed for and received a position in the Petaluma Fire Department and served there until 2021 as a full-time Firefighter Paramedic. Ryan was a loving and devoted father of two lovely children, A and L. Ryan was also an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors whether that was behind the wheel of a Jeep on the Rubicon Trail, waist-deep in a marsh, or in the sands of Pismo Beach. He was known for his sense of humor and the joy and happiness that he brought to those who knew him. He is survived by his 2 children, his mother, his father and stepmother, 2 brothers, a sister, and a very large and loving extended family.
