In Remembrance of Evan Rogers

1983 - 2024

There are many moments in a day that I still cannot believe you are gone. Although it has only been a couple weeks now, I imagine the rest of my life won’t be enough time for me to make peace with the disturbing realization of your absence.

You made such a profound impact on my life as an addict in recovery, and I know that I may not be where I am today if I had not met you.

The majority of my most treasured moments in life have been spent by your side and with our beautiful daughter, Luna. She is just one more gift you gave me of immeasurable value, and I don’t quite know how I will raise her without you. Even though we had some differences and spent the last several months living separate lives, I realized my heart still belonged to you and I held on to hope that we would be together again one day, standing in unity for Luna, if nothing else.

I wish I had told you one more time before you left, just how much I love you and what you meant to me, I can only hope you know now and that you have found true peace and serenity. Maybe one day we will share it together again.
