In Remembrance of Devon Lee White-McArthur
2003 - 2018Devon Lee White-McArthur, 14, took one last ride on his skateboard to heaven March 31, 2018. The son of Jonathan and Ashley White-McArthur, he was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on September 9, 2003.
He was a skateboard enthusiast spending hours at the Carey Park Skateboard track. He loved music teaching himself how to play the guitar and would spend time playing for his friends and family. He was an avid RC car enthusiast and was intrigued how they were put together and how fast he could make them go.
Devon you were unique. You had so many different talents and abilities. You were the star in the room wherever you were. Life is so incredibly difficult without your physical presence and that infectious smile.
Always remember you don’t have to always follow in the footsteps of others. And most important, you should always remind yourself that you don't have to do what everyone else is doing and have a responsibility to develop the talents you have been given. And believe in yourself. You are braver than you think, more talented than you know, and capable of more than you imagine
