In Remembrance of Daniel A. Diaz

1986 - 2024

On November 24, 2024, I received a call from your father with the most devasting news that you were gone. So many emotions flooded me all at once that it was very overwhelming. You were so full of love and life. You always had a smile on your face and always wanted to see everyone laugh. You were more than just my nephew. You were like a little brother and a pain in the ass that got on my last nerve lol, but I still loved you more than you ever knew.

I hope you know that I am so very proud of you and everything that you have accomplished. You did everything you said you would and more. From being 6th in the nation for high school wrestling, to getting your Associates (a memory I will always cherish because we graduated together), to getting your BA in Nursing through the accelerated program at Rutgers University, to pushing through your nursing career and becoming a traveling nurse. You not only bought you own house but renovated it from the bottom up to make it a beautiful home. You traveled the world, saw so many beautiful sights, and I am forever grateful that we got to experience Puerto Rico together. I miss you so much nephew and I can only hope that you are looking down with that big cheesy smile saying, "I got you, Aunt Cyn!"

If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
