Luke J. Massee Memorial

In Remembrance of Luke J. Massee

1992 - 2022

Luke was the best son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and dog dad.  He was passionate about many things; cooking (the spicier, the better), hiking, drawing, debating, writing songs, skateboarding, playing guitar, creating poetry, and painting. Luke was a graffiti artist who loved to paint in the original Art Alley.

Luke had a one-of-a-kind sense of humor. He was always the light of the room and had everyone cracking up with some of the funniest, craziest jokes people ever heard. Luke and his dad loved Far Side jokes.

Luke loved his dog. Marley was his faithful canine sidekick and they loved nothing more than hiking, playing ball, and going for rides. Luke also loved nature. Hiking in the Black Hills with friends was special to him. Always in pursuit of the elusive Fairburn Agate, Luke could state his own rock maze by the number of rocks that he collected along the way.

Luke was very protective of the ones he loved and was loyal beyond measure. He gave the best hugs! Family was important to him, and he was so proud to be Isaac and Kora's "Uncle Lukey."

Motorcycle riding through the Black Hills was always much more fun when Luke was the leader. He begrudgingly honked his horn, per mom's request, when going through tunnels. Luke 'The Kid' was a Chapter President of UMF and was always up for a ride with his biker brothers.

Luke served his country by being a Wildland Firefighter. He was so proud of this and worked very hard to accomplish it.

We miss our "Luke T Duke" so much and cherish our moments. We know that Luke is our very best Angel. Luke, we love you today, tomorrow, and always. Until we meet again...Dad, Mom, Tanner, Kaley, Isaac, Kora, and Marley.

In a world of prints, Luke is a Van Gogh
