In Remembrance of Billy Thomas (aka One Dollar Bill)

My heart was shattered when we learned you left us. You built such a beautiful life and touched so many lives, loving everyone unconditionally. It’s hard to believe you are no longer physically here.

I miss your music, your sense of humor, your smile, and beautiful blue eyes. I miss traveling to Indy with Megan and Dad to go to the zoo, eat at a new restaurant, walk Smokey around Fountain Square or see One Dollar Bill perform. 

One of my last texts to you was “Love you too! You’re the best son a mom could ask for” and I meant it. I thank God every day for the 28 years I had with you. The joy you brought to our family is priceless. You constantly amazed us with all your talents - whether it was running, creating apps, and of course creating music with such meaning. You always put your heart into everything you did. 

I miss you every day and wait for the day when I see you again in Heaven.
