The holiday season often magnifies feelings of grief, loneliness, and longing, making this time of year especially difficult for those who have experienced loss. This five-class yoga series offered on Zoom is designed to provide compassionate support, gentle movement, and mindful practices to help participants navigate the holidays with greater ease and intention.
Every other Tuesday starting October 14, 2025 for 5 sessions
Dates are: October 14, 28, November 11, 25, and December 9
Each 75-minute session is recorded and available for 30 days after the end of the program.
* Recordings are available within 24 hours of each class, and an archive of practices will be viewable for the duration of your enrollment.
Cost: $100 for the 5 sessions.
About the teacher: The Alliance of Hope is offering this program through Sue Andersen, a compassionate guide specializing in helping individuals navigate the complexities of grief through the healing practices of yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness. After experiencing the profound loss of her son in 2012, Sue discovered the transformative power of yoga in her own healing journey. This inspired her to become a 500-hour registered yoga teacher, earning certifications in Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Grief Movement. With a teaching style rooted in mindfulness and connection, Sue supports her students in finding balance, peace, and strength as they explore their own paths to healing and renewal.
How do I participate? These virtual sessions are offered in real-time, via Zoom. Participants are encouraged to begin and end each session on screen with each other but are free to turn cameras off for privacy during the movement portion. Classes are experiential practices. Interaction times are reserved for a few minutes at the start and close of each meeting.
What do I need to participate? Students are encouraged to designate a quiet space, where you may move your body as freely as possible. Helpful supplies include: a sturdy chair, firm cushion or pillow, blanket, 2 tennis or therapy balls, foam block, and a Yoga or fitness mat.
